Chris and Amanda Are Getting Married!

Recommendations

We had a great set of people helping us out with our wedding. Here are a few complete standouts who made it such an amazing experience for everyone:

  • Rose Marie Belo, Wedding Planner

Rose Marie helped plan our wedding while we were 3000 miles away, and she was fantastic. Her knowledge of local and area service providers was prodigious and when we were having difficulty with some of our providers she was able to offer alternatives quickly. She helped us plan everything months in advance and was there on the day of the wedding to make sure everything came off perfectly. On the day itself, she was quick and observant - heading off issues before they became problems and had a fantastic, calm demeanor the entire time.

She’s based in Avon, CT and runs a company called Lettres Stationery and Events. We literally couldn’t have had the perfect wedding we had without her.

  • Erin Kiernan Photography

Erin was recommended to us by Rose Marie and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Erin and Naomi (her assistant) were very attentive to our requests about what pictures were taken and were so efficient in getting the pictures that we were able to get to the reception and enjoy the entire event without any time pressure at all. Both Erin and Naomi were excellent at getting both the specific staged shots we were looking for as well as documenting all the details of the day (flowers, candid shots, etc.). They were unobtrusive during the ceremony and the reception and captured everything perfectly.

Her website is at Erin Kiernan Photography.

  • Kevin Williams, DJ (Powerstation Events)

We found Kevin through Powerstation Events (another Rose Marie recommendation) - a Connecticut company in the DJ/events business for at least 20 years (Chris remembers them providing DJs for high school dances, which was definitely more than 20 years ago). Kevin helped us choose great music for the entire night. Everyone had great things to say about his selections. There was something for everyone present and when the dance floor opened up, he kept it busy the entire night. He was a great emcee for the evening and interacted with everyone extremely well.

We sprung a few new things on him (like the Newlywed Game) and he did a fantastic job rolling with the punches (including a blown fuse at the beginning of the night).

Kevin’s profile doesn’t do him justice. If you’re looking for a great emcee for your night, Kevin’s your guy.
